Who We Are
Home to the three-time US National Collegiate Chess Championship winners, UTRGV Chess Program is committed to spreading and supporting the growth of chess within the University, throughout local school district programs, and across the entire Rio Grande Valley, both on a casual and competitive level.
What We Do
We host a variety of events, including official USCF and FIDE-rated tournaments, blitz events, casual meet-ups and outreaches inside and outside of the university, and public and private coaching sessions from our team of International Masters and Grandmasters.
