Mission: South Texas Frown Upside Down (STXFUD) is dedicated to uplifting communities by promoting awareness, raising funds, and organizing initiatives that support underrepresented and underserved individuals. Through compassion, collaboration, and creativity, we aim to inspire others to make a meaningful difference. Vision: STXFUD envisions a world where individuals work together to address pressing social issues, foster inclusivity, and bring smiles to those in need through community service, education, and advocacy. History: STXFUD began as a student-led organization with a mission to bring positivity and support to local and global communities. It started with small-scale initiatives like clothing drives and card donations and quickly expanded to include larger events such as fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and volunteer projects. Over the years, STXFUD has tackled diverse causes like mental health awareness, cancer support, and environmental conservation, empowering students and community members to create meaningful change and lead with empathy.
What We Do
South Texas Frown Upside Down (STXFUD) accomplishes its mission and vision of promoting community service, raising awareness for important causes, and supporting those in need through a variety of programs and activities. These include: 1. Fundraisers: STXFUD organizes creative and impactful fundraising events such as basketball games, Lotería nights, and movie nights to raise money for causes like breast cancer awareness, cancer survivor support, and mental health advocacy. 2. Awareness Campaigns: Through videos, presentations, and social media, STXFUD highlights important issues like Alzheimer’s awareness, stress management, and brain health to educate and engage the community. 3. Drives and Donations: STXFUD conducts seasonal drives for clothing, toys, hygiene products, and Valentine’s cards to benefit underprivileged individuals and families in the community. 4. Volunteer Events: The organization hosts volunteer-driven initiatives, including beach cleanups, Easter egg hunts, and crafting events to support various local and international causes, such as aiding the Palestinian Children Relief Fund. 5. Community Engagement: STXFUD creates opportunities for community bonding through events like stress-relief activities, slime-making, and character fairs, ensuring that service and fun go hand-in-hand. By combining creativity, service, and collaboration, STXFUD effectively mobilizes students and community members to make a positive impact while fostering leadership and compassion.
