Who We Are
Gladys Porter Zoo was envisioned as a refuge for endangered species by its founder Gladys Porter. Today, the Zoo is just that, providing homes for over 1,600 animals, and carrying out breeding programs for over 60 endangered species.
What We Do
The Gladys Porter Zoo 501 (c)3 is a visitor-oriented zoological and botanical park, dedicated to the preservation of nature through education conservation, and research.
