Valley Haven Inc. Emergency Children’s Shelter, in partnership with KaBOOM!, and the Let’s Move initiative from Dr Pepper Snapple Group, will build a playground in ONE day. We are seeking 150-200 volunteers who do not have to be skilled, trained or have any special tools; they just have to be enthusiastic, energetic, a team player, willing to work and have fun, fun, fun! (And be at least 18 years of age). Everyone must be pre-registered.
Arrive at 8 am for breakfast, and stay until project completion time at 2:30 pm. We’ll provide lunch, beverages, music and prizes, along with an opening and special closing ceremony at 2:30 pm. The build will happen rain or shine. Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Team Leaders and site preparers are also needed!
• Skilled builders are invited to become Team Leaders to take on a leadership role on Wednesday, September 28. Captains are asked to attend a 1 hour orientation on Prep Day (9/26)
• All are welcome to help prepare the playground site on Monday September 26.
