Join the City of Brownsville for a BRIGHT Blitz Community Outreach event!
Volunteers will help inform residents about the upcoming BRIGHT Initiative Clean-Up by visiting a designated neighborhood and distributing informational materials. Students will engage respectfully with residents and encourage community participation.
Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (may conclude earlier depending on outreach completion)
Meeting Location: Perez Elementary School
Transportation to the outreach area will be provided via City shuttles.
Volunteer Duties:
• Distribute informational materials
• Engage respectfully with residents
• Support outreach efforts in designated neighborhoods
Requirements:
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Completion of City liability waiver required (it'll be provided that same day)
What Will Be Provided:
• Transportation
• Water and snacks
Recommended Attire:
• Closed-toe shoes
• Long sleeves and pants or leggings
• Hat and sunscreen
• Personal refillable water bottle strongly encouraged
