IMAS is seeking volunteers who are interested in giving back and engaging with the community by assisting in the hands-on activities during the April 26th Community Day: Exploring and Celebrating the Cultures of Spanish America. Visitors will discover and explore the cultures of Spanish America at IMAS through guided tours and hands on activities. This event will highlight new exhibits: Ceremonies of the Americas: The Engravings of Bernard Picart, Paintings from Spanish America and Destino Sur.
Volunteer Duties: Plant Activity (Corn and Tomato)
- Assist participants in planting a seed and learning about Incan agricultural traditions.
- Help visitors choose between planting corn or tomato seeds.
- Ensure that participants follow the proper planting steps, including using soil, water, and sunlight to nurture the seeds.
- Provide guidance and support throughout the activity.
Requirements: Must wear closed toes shoes, friendly family attire, no ripped jeans or graphic imagery.
