IMAS Operation Imagination Summer Camp - Education Volunteers
June 2, 2025 – August 1, 2025
IMAS Operation Imagination Summer Camp is seeking passionate and enthusiastic volunteers interested in art, science, or with experience in education.
Volunteer Commitment: - Must commit to a full week, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) - Shift: 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM daily - Arrive on time each camp day to assist the Education team
Volunteer Duties: - Assist IMAS Educators with drop-off and pick-up times - Support classroom management and help facilitate camp activities - Help with setup and cleanup of classrooms and activity areas to keep them organized and safe - Engage with campers in a positive and encouraging manner Each week, two concurrent camp sessions run with distinctthemes and age groups.
Week 2: June 9-13 | Deep Space Astronauts (2nd–4th Grade)
Explore the cosmos through hands-on art and science activities, including black holes, star life cycles, and presentations like StarLab and Science On a Sphere.
Additional Information:
- Only 4 volunteer spaces available per week - Volunteers will gain experience in classroom management, lesson plan facilitation, informal learning in museum education, and creating memorable experiences and lasting friendships.
