Join us for this year’s Charreada on Wednesday, February 25, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Brownsville Student Union Lawn.
Charreada features traditional Mexican rodeo-style events with skilled horseback riding, roping demonstrations, and cultural presentations. Students can watch live performances, explore activity areas, and enjoy the atmosphere with friends.
Volunteer Duties – Ride Zone Assistant:
- Manage lines and assist with safety checks at rides
- Ensure attendees have a safe and enjoyable experience
Skills Needed:
Patience, attention to detail, safety awareness
Volunteers are required to participate in one virtual meeting on Monday, February 23, at 2:00 pm
Dress code for event: We are asking that students that volunteer either wear an orange UTRGV shirt, or if they’d like, they can dress in traditional Mexican clothing (Charro blouses, charro shirts, and dresses are permitted)
