The McAllen Chamber of Commerce is awarding Community Service Hours, T-shirts, Tickets to Concerts and Gaming Events at MXLAN 2022 in exchange for volunteer assistance at the festival.
MXLAN is McAllen’s 5-day interactive arts & music festival that celebrates Mexican culture through open-air performances, street food, artisans, and outdoor music at the McAllen Convention Center July 27 - 31, 2022.
This is what’s in it for you:
- A certificate from the McAllen Chamber of Commerce with the total number of community service hours you’ve contributed
- A MXLAN t-shirt to keep & wear while you are helping
- Those who complete 16 hours of volunteer service will also be entered into a raffle to receive a ticket to either, entrance into the MXLAN eSPORT gaming, or other happenings at the festival!
There are several areas needing assistance. This Need Post is for:
Soft Drink Station Assistant
This volunteer position will work with McAllen Chamber staff in the sale of water and soft drinks to attendees. Shifts are 5 hours long with one break. We ask that volunteers arrive 30 minutes prior to shift start to meet at Volunteer HQs for check-in and briefing. Total volunteer time is 5.5 hours. Activities may include: icing down beverages, providing water/soda to customers and may or may not help with station tear down activities.
Make time to view the mandatory MXLAN Orientation Video, as the “in-person” sessions have passed.

You will receive a confirmation email with a Volunteer Information Form that must be completed and turned in before you are permitted to serve. You may complete the form at the time you arrive for your first shift, as well.
