Castilo Hoops is RGV Area Basketball Competition, in memoriam of Luis Castillo, a member of our Competition Committee, this year marks five years of his passing, and we continue to keep his memory alive!! Castilo Hoops brings about all levels of Basketball Skills to compete in dribbling, shooting, and passing, the basics to prepare all for the next level. This first date will be for all individuals from 5-15 years of age, to kick off the 2025 Castilo Hoops Individual Skills.
Volunteer duties:
- Escorting Guests: Assisting with the safe and organized movement of participants, attendees, or VIPs to designated areas.
- Station Assistance: Providing support and maintaining the operation of assigned stations or activity areas.
- Event Set-Up, Tear-Down, and Equipment Handling: Preparing the venue by setting up and dismantling equipment or decorations, as well as loading and unloading necessary items.
- Award presenters: Delivering awards to recipients during ceremonies and ensuring smooth execution of the presentation process.
- Result assistants: Supporting the compilation, verification, and distribution of event results in a timely and accurate manner.
Please wear athletic, comfortable clothing and closed-toe athletic shoes—sandals or Crocs are not allowed. Volunteers are also encouraged to wear clothing that promotes their student organization (if applicable) or university.
