This year Winter Solstice lands on December 21st. Winter solstice is the shortest day of the year as the sun travels along the shortest arc in the sky. Our Winter Solstice event at Quinta Mazatlan will be from 4:30-6:30pm. We will be open later than our usual closing time to give visitors an opportunity to walk the park and sunset and participate in some crafts.
Volunteers will be needed for facilitating our craft table at this event. We will have leaf shadow drawing and leaf collages. All the materials and art samples will already be set out on the tables.
As a volunteer you will be:
- Passing out materials and,
- making sure the craft tables remain organized after being used.
No specific qualifications are needed for this event.
If you enjoy art you can definitely join visitors in doing the crafts.
