Are you a cat lover with a heart for making a difference? We're looking for compassionate volunteers to join our Cat Care team at PetSmart!
Opportunity Details:
Availability: Mon, Wed, Fri, & Sat mornings
Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours (depending on the cats)
Location: Petsmart 7600 N 10th Bldg 200, McAllen, Tx 78504
What You'll Do:
As a Cat Care volunteer, you'll have the purr-fect opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our feline friends. Your responsibilities may include:
Feeding and Watering: Ensure our cats have fresh food and water to keep them happy and healthy.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Help maintain clean and comfortable living spaces for our cats by scooping litter boxes and tidying up their area.
Socialization: Spend quality time with our cats and kittens, providing love, attention, and enrichment activities to keep them happy and well-socialized.
Observation: Keep an eye out for any signs of illness or behavior changes and report them to our staff.

When attending your shift, please wear a UTRGV shirt or a Palm Valley Volunteer Shirt. You can purchase a Palm Valley Volunteer Shirt at either PVAS location. Shorts and open-toed shoes are not allowed. Once you arrive, let a staff member know you are a Palm Valley Volunteer who will take care of the cats today. They will show you to the room. At the end of your shift, please send a picture of the finished room to 956-478-9881 to confirm your attendance.
