Needs From: Engagement Zone at UTRGV

We are seeking volunteers interested in learning about our adoption process and helping our furry friends get into their furever homes.

PVAS will have one adoption specialist at Petsmart every weekend and every other Sunday at Petco from 11:30am - 5:30 pm. They can use a hand to help set up/break down for the event and support them in engaging with the community and helping close the deal on adoptions of an interested pet.

Volunteers will:

- Help set up for event

- Watch over animals

- Keep kennels looking tidy

- Walk dogs

- Assist staff

- Help clean up after event

- Other as assigned

Join Our Cat Posse: Volunteer with Cat Care at Petsmart!

Are you a cat lover with a heart for making a difference? We're looking for compassionate volunteers to join our Cat Care team at Petsmart!

Opportunity Details:
Availability: Sun, Tue, and Thur mornings
Time Commitment: Approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours (depending on the cats)
Location: Petsmart 7600 N 10th Bldg 200, McAllen, Tx 78504

What You'll Do:
As a Cat Care volunteer, you'll have the purr-fect opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our feline friends. Your responsibilities may include:

Feeding and Watering: Ensure our cats have fresh food and water to keep them happy and healthy.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Help maintain clean and comfortable living spaces for our cats by scooping litter boxes and tidying up their area.
Socialization: Spend quality time with our cats and kittens, providing love, attention, and enrichment activities to keep them happy and well-socialized.
Observation: Keep an eye out for any signs of illness or behavior changes and report them to our staff.
