Sunny Glen Children's Home provides a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for children in foster care ranging from infants to age 18. Their dedicated staff works around the clock to ensure every child in their care feels loved, supported, and valued. Through trauma-informed care, daily structure, educational support, life skills training, and enriching activities, they give children the tools they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

Volunteers will assist in the following areas:

Valentine Card Making Workshop: Assist children to create Valentine Day cardsGeneral Volunteering: Assist staff to keep the facility clean 

Dress Code: Closed toe or tennis shoes, full-length pants recommended, and shirts with sleeves. Due to working with children, please dress conservative. Please do not wear flip-flops, sandals, mini-skirts, tank-tops or sleeve-less shirts.

Lunch will be provided at the end of the volunteer session.

Volunteer: Butterfly Garden Beautification, Painting Party and Spooky Science Fair Fest Preparations

Estero Llano Grande State Park protects a lush wetland oasis in the Rio Grande Valley, where birders and nature lovers can explore ponds, resacas, and native brushland. The park is known for exceptional wildlife viewing, especially during migration, and offers a peaceful escape with boardwalks, trails, and a visitor center.


Volunteers will assist in the following areas:

Painting: Assist in painting different areas of the parkBeautification: Clean butterfly garden areas to ensure conservationSpooky Science Fair Fest Preparations: Assist setting up decorations for the upcoming Spooky Science Fair Fest

Dress Code: Closed toe or tennis shoes, full-length pants recommended (might be on knees and there is gravel), and dress for the weather. Please do not wear flip-flops, sandals, mini-skirts, tank-tops or sleeve-less shirts.

Lunch will be provided at the end of the volunteer session.

The Robert & Janet Vackar Stadium Student Tailgate is the official gathering place for Vaqueros to show their school spirit, connect with fellow students, and cheer on the football team before kickoff. Stop by to help us beautify the grounds for an even better experience! 

Volunteers will assist in the following areas:

Painting: Assist in painting lines to divide sections within the tailgate zoneBeautification: Place labeled signs on zoned areas and collect any trashGeneral Assistance: Assist those setting for tailgate by carrying items to their designated zone

Dress Code: Closed toe or tennis shoes, full-length pants recommended (might be on knees and there is gravel), and shirts with sleeves. Please do not wear flip-flops, sandals, mini-skirts, tank-tops or sleeve-less shirts.
