Who We Are

We are a grassroots network of over 600 partner organizations and individuals working together to connect children and families with nature in Texas. Each partner brings a unique perspective and solutions to the network. TCiNN is guided by a steering committee of 20 individuals from around the state that represent environmental education, parks and recreation, hunting and fishing, formal education, health and wellness, youth development, and the national Children & Nature Network.

What We Do

We work with partners across the state to connect children and families with nature in Texas, promoting programs, events, and nature spaces and supporting regional collaboratives. In the Rio Grande Valley, we collaborate with local libraries, nature centers, and health organizations to provide opportunities for children and families to engage in nature, such as LEAP, the Library Explorer Adventure Pack, helping to coordinate events and programs around the region, and participating in community events.
