Who We Are
The Forensic Anthropology Research Laboratory (FAR.Lab), provides quality undergraduate academic activities and research in forensic anthropology, forensic science, and biological anthropology. Emphasis is placed on exposing students to a holistic approach to biological anthropology and humanitarian action.
FAR.lab is committed to providing an environment of academic freedom and academic responsibility so that faculty may develop and implement successful teaching, community engagement, and research activities that ensure high standards of instruction and student performance.
What We Do
The FAR.lab engages faculty and students in supporting our community in any scope of the forensic sciences.
We are particularly engaged in contributing to the search and recovery of deceased migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border for the purpose of identification. Contributing to give closure to families is our goal.
We do research in several fields of Biological Anthropology, in particularly forensic Anthropology and Forensic Anthropology. We focus on the broad scope of skeletal biology.
