Who We Are
Palm Valley Animal Society (PVAS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal welfare organization serving several municipalities in Hidalgo County and the county at large. PVAS operates two facilities in Edinburg, TX, taking in more than 15,000 animals on behalf of 550,000 residents each year. PVAS is on a journey to save lives and create a safe, humane community for all of the Rio Grande Valley.
What We Do
PVAS aims to save every animal possible through progressive adoption, foster care, and rescue transfer programs. PVAS offers many additional programs designed to help pets in the shelter, in the community, and in your home, including pet resources, self-supported rehoming, some wellness services, and a pet food pantry, among others.
