Who We Are
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance of Cameron County, Texas, is a coalition of community organizations led by United Way of Southern Cameron County, including Brownsville ISD, Ethel Whipple Memorial Library, Los Fresnos CISD, Point Isabel ISD, San Benito CISD, Texas Southmost College, and University of Texas RGV.
What We Do
Help your community by providing free tax assistance. Train and certify as an IRS VITA tax preparer using self-paced online training in the fall and file tax returns free of charge for working families from January - April at VITA sites throughout Cameron County, Texas. The IRS training platform at Link and Learn Taxes opens in early November.
