Who We Are
We are a collective group of people from the Rio Grande Valley who decided to help the asylum seekers at the ports of entry and bus stations. We want to give them back the human dignity that was taken away from them by our government.
What We Do
We help the immigrants who have been released from immigration custody and are traveling from the Valley to their sponsors, usually hundreds or even thousands of miles away. Speaking Spanish is a must or have a translator. We help immigrants understand their bus ticket and give them information about legal resources. Since the beginning of the Migrant Protection Protocol (MPP) we have concentrated on providing resources to those who are forced to wait in Matamoros.
