VITA Tax Preparers will assist United Way of Southern Cameron County in providing service to low-income families making under $67,000.
Tax prepares will need to take three exams: Volunteer Standards of Conduct (10 questions), Intake/Interview & Quality Review (10 questions), and the Advance Exam.
While trainings are over, you can certify at your own pace using PUB 4012 and PUB 6744. Exams are open book. Stop by the United Way office (634 E Levee St, 8am-4pm) to pick up training materials.
