What to Expect
Join the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) in honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy through meaningful community service at Restlawn Cemetery. Together, we will work to preserve and beautify this meaningful space.
Volunteer Activities:
- Planting greenery
- Raking and maintaining the space
- Adding mulch to enhance the landscape

What to Wear
- Closed-toe shoes
- Wear comfortable, washable clothing you don't mind getting a little dirty
About Restlawn Cemetery: This property is believed to be the only graveyard in Hidalgo County dedicated for African American burials.
