Play a key role in supporting Castilo Hoops, an RGV basketball competition honoring the memory of Luis Castillo, a beloved member of our Competition Committee. This year marks five years since his passing, and the event continues to celebrate his legacy.
Responsibilities include escorting participants and guests, assisting at event stations, and helping with the setup and teardown of equipment and event spaces. Team members will also load and unload materials, present awards, and manage competition results to ensure smooth event operations.
Castilo Hoops brings together athletes aged 16 and older to compete in essential basketball skills like dribbling, shooting, and passing, preparing them for the next level of play. Your role is vital to creating a memorable experience for all involved.
Please wear athletic, comfortable clothing and closed-toe athletic shoes—sandals or Crocs are not allowed. Volunteers are also encouraged to wear clothing that promotes their student organization (if applicable) or university.
