Join us for the second annual State of the City Address, 'Brownsville 2025: Edge of the Future,' presented by Mayor John Cowen. Hosted by the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce and the City of Brownsville, this event will bring together local businesses, community leaders, and stakeholders to celebrate the city’s achievements over the past year and discuss the vision for Brownsville’s future. It’s an opportunity to engage with the progress and growth shaping our community.
Volunteer Duties:
- Clearing away dinner setups including tables, linens, chairs, and any food-related items.
- Removing decorations, centerpieces, and signage from the dinner area.
- Packing up leftover food or drinks and ensuring they are disposed of properly.
- Cleaning the venue including wiping down tables and ensuring the space is left neat and organized.
- Coordinating with the team to ensure that the event area is restored efficiently and quickly.
*Please be advised, volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes as the role may require extensive walking and standing throughout the event.
*Black attire is preferred to maintain a professional and cohesive look.
*Some tasks may involve lifting or carrying items, so please be prepared for light physical activity.
Volunteers will receive training in their respective roles: Friday March 21, 2025 at the 1:30 PM at the TSC Performing Arts Center (Mandatory In-Person Meeting)
