IMAS is seeking volunteers who are interested in giving back and engaging with the community by assisting in the hands-on activities during the April 26th Community Day: Exploring and Celebrating the Cultures of Spanish America. Visitors will discover and explore the cultures of Spanish America at IMAS through guided tours and hands on activities. This event will highlight new exhibits: Ceremonies of the Americas: The Engravings of Bernard Picart, Paintings from Spanish America and Destino Sur.

Volunteer Duties: Peruvian Inspired Scratch board Printmaking

- Guide visitors through the process of creating a scratchboard print inspired by Inca Nazca lines, Aztec symbols, and other Spanish American cultures.

- Provide assistance in carving into foam plates with etching tools.

- Help participants transfer their etched designs onto paper to create one-of-a-kind prints.

- Ensure participants are comfortable with the tools and process.

Requirements: Must wear closed toes shoes, friendly family attire, no ripped jeans or graphic imagery.
