Texas General Land Office Adopt-A-Beach Program
The Adopt-A-Beach program, launched in the fall of 1986, began with 2,800 volunteers who collected 124 tons of trash from Texas beaches. Since then, over 551,000 volunteers have helped remove more than 10,000 tons of trash, making a lasting impact on our coastline.
Volunteers are provided with all necessary supplies, including data cards, gloves, pencils, and trash bags. Participants are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes, apply sunscreen, and bring plenty of drinking water.
Cleanups are held rain or shine, so come prepared to make a difference! Join one of our seasonal beach cleanups and be part of a community effort to keep Texas beaches clean and pristine.
