Join us in honoring Cesar Chavez’s legacy by giving back to the UTRGV community through a hands-on volunteer event!
Event Details
· Date: Friday, March 27, 2026
· Locations: 724 N Cage Blvd, Pharr, TX 78577 (Please park on the volunteer parking lot located in the south side of the building.)
· Check In Time (Morning Shift): 8:30 AM
· Event Time (Morning Shift): 8:30 AM – 12 PM
· Check In Time (Afternoon Shift): 1:30 PM
· Event Time (Afternoon Shift): 1:30 PM – 4 PM
Volunteer Roles
For every 1 hour that you volunteer, you help provide 105 meals. Volunteers can assist in the following stations:
· CSFP: Packaging boxes for our senior program
· New Beginnings: Sorting through mixed retail donations
· OKP: Making bags for elementary school programs
· Garden: Planting and harvesting fruits and vegetables
What to Wear
· No open-toed shoes
· No shorts more than two inches above the knee
· No spaghetti strap shirts
· No leggings
· Masks must be worn at all times
