Community Programs Support Assistant

As a Community Programs Support Assistant, participants will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of services designed to promote family well-being, resource accessibility, and personal development.
This opportunity is ideal for students seeking hands-on experience in community engagement, nonprofit operations, client support, social services, education, public health, or related fields. Participants may assist across multiple program areas while developing valuable communication, organization, and professional skills.
Responsibilities may include:
• Assisting with clothing and hygiene closet services for community members in need
• Supporting family and parenting programs, including RHCK, Mommy & Me, Zumba, and other community engagement activities
• Helping individuals navigate community resources and complete applications through YourTexasBenefits
• Assisting with workforce readiness initiatives, including resume development and mock interview preparation
• Providing administrative and program support during service hours
• Supporting special projects and community events as needed
Participants will gain valuable experience working directly with community programs while helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals and families.
