Make a meaningful difference in the life of a child by volunteering with Sunny Glen Children's Home, a nonprofit organization that has served abused, neglected, and vulnerable children in the Rio Grande Valley since 1936.
Volunteers support Sunny Glen's mission of providing safety, stability, hope, and compassionate care to children and youth through a variety of service opportunities. Depending on current needs, volunteers may assist with recreational activities, special events, campus projects, donation drives, mentoring opportunities, administrative support, and other activities that help create a positive and nurturing environment for children in care.
This opportunity is ideal for students interested in education, social work, psychology, counseling, healthcare, nonprofit leadership, human services, or anyone seeking to make a positive impact in their community.
By serving with Sunny Glen, volunteers will:
- Support children and youth in a safe and caring environment.
- Gain valuable experience working with a nonprofit organization.
- Develop leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Contribute to a mission that has strengthened families and transformed lives for nearly 90 years.
Volunteer requirements, orientation, and scheduling will be coordinated directly with Sunny Glen Children's Home staff. Some opportunities may require additional onboarding or background screening procedures.
Join us in helping provide hope, healing, and opportunity to children who need it most.
