Help welcome students to campus and support a smooth move-in experience during UTRGV Housing & Residence Life Move-In Day. Participants will assist incoming and returning residents as they move into the residence halls across the Edinburg and Brownsville campuses. This opportunity is a great way to support fellow Vaqueros, contribute to a positive first impression of campus life, and help create a welcoming environment for students and their families.
Duties Include:
- Greeting residents and their families upon arrival
- Assisting with unloading and transporting personal belongings
- Providing directions and general move-in assistance
- Helping manage traffic flow and check-in areas as needed
- Supporting Housing & Residence Life staff throughout the move-in process
- Creating a welcoming and positive experience for residents
Recommendations:
- Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
- Be prepared to work outdoors and walk for extended periods
- Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
- Apply sunscreen before arriving

Move-In Day activities take place between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Participants are not required to serve the entire day; however, a minimum commitment of 2 hours is requested. Specific assignments and schedules will be coordinated by Housing & Residence Life staff.
