Estero Llano Grande State Park protects a lush wetland oasis in the Rio Grande Valley, where birders and nature lovers can explore ponds, resacas, and native brushland. The park is known for exceptional wildlife viewing, especially during migration, and offers a peaceful escape with boardwalks, trails, and a visitor center.
Volunteers will assist in the following areas:
- Painting: Assist in painting different areas of the park
- Beautification: Clean butterfly garden areas to ensure conservation
- Spooky Science Fair Fest Preparations: Assist setting up decorations for the upcoming Spooky Science Fair Fest
Dress Code: Closed toe or tennis shoes, full-length pants recommended (might be on knees and there is gravel), and dress for the weather. Please do not wear flip-flops, sandals, mini-skirts, tank-tops or sleeve-less shirts.
Lunch will be provided at the end of the volunteer session.
