A Fall Prom Event For Individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities
Date: Saturday, September 08, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 pm.
Location: Port Isabel Event & Cultural Center
Age Requirement to Volunteer: 16 years old and older

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for A Night in Paris Prom hosted by Capable Kids Foundation, Inc.
A Night in Paris is a Prom Event for teens and young adults with special needs (physical, social, cognitive limitations) ages 14 and older)
All volunteers will need to be onsite by 4:30 pm the evening of the prom unless you are signing up for the clean up crew. Attire should be Sunday best type clothing, but does not need to be formal prom attire.
You must sign up below in order to volunteer. We have a specific number of volunteers needed for each area/job at the event. Once a volunteer area is filled, you will need to sign up for another available spot. We will be limiting the number of volunteers in order to avoid over-crowding of the venue.
The volunteer areas and number needed are as follows:
1. Traffic control / parking attendant
2. Guest Drop-off greeting / unloading
3. Volunteer Registration Table / Guest Registration Table
4. Corsage / Boutonniere Table
5. Photo Portraits
6. Photo Booth
7. Special Food Modifications Table
8. Dessert Table
9. Paparazzi / Party Starters - we need some high energy, fun-spirited volunteers to help cheer on the guests as they walk the red carpet, ask for their autograph, etc - then later on to help encourage people to get onto the dance floor, pass out party favors, etc.
10. Host/Hostesses (100 / depending on total guests registered) - this is an ideal job for older teens and young adults who will be paired up with a guest to guide them through the night's activities, and be their friend and assistant for the night.

12. Tear down and clean up crew- you will help with taking down decorations after the prom and cleaning up the prom areas. If you are signing up for this position, you can arrive around 8:30 p.m. The prom will end around 9:00.
