The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands & World Birding Center and our partners at Texas Parks & Wildlife are gearing up for the Rio Grande Valley Coastal Expo in the Edinburg Municipal Park on February 13th & 14th, 2020. We are again planning for around 3,000 children to be present during this 2 day event.
The focus of the RGV Coastal Expo is to teach our school kids about coastal ecology, outdoor adventure, and South Texas wildlife through a variety of activities. Each year, we need around 100 volunteers each day to help make this great event happen. Full-day volunteers get a free t-shirt and all volunteers get free lunch during the event!
We will be needing help with setting up for the event, covering stations during the event, and tear-down after the event.
Event Tear Down:
Date: Friday, Feb 14th
Time/Shift: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
FOR EVENT TEAR DOWN:
-Help with taking down tents
-Taking town tables and chairs
-Uncovering Tables and Chairs
-Taking down roped areas
-Taking down fencing
-Taking down event signs
-Removing parking lot barricades
The more volunteers we get, the faster it all gets done! :)
