Zombie actors needed for Spooky Science Fest at Estero Llano Grande State Park in Weslaco, Tx. Come and scare people as zombies at the spooky tram route or at the Spooky trails or operate giant puppets.
We are planning to have our Spooky Science Fest again this year on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 from 6pm - 10pm. This is a family event and we are really looking forward to this event this year. This event usually draws in 1,600 to 2,000 visitors so it will be a busy/eventful night!
This year’s theme looks at how local legends can be inspired by local wildlife. For example, many people fear Barn Owls because they believe them to be Lechusas – bad omens or even witches. We hope to dispel some of these myths through science related activities and info booths.
This event would not be possible without volunteers! Please let Jose Uribe joe.uribe@tpwd.texas.gov now if you would be available to help us out – either from 5pm to 10pm or while we decorate and set-up the event the week leading up to 10/19. No previous experience necessary so please don’t think you have to be a nature expert to help us during the event.
