What: El Lago Neighborhood Beautification Event
When: Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
Who: The cleanup is organized by RGV Fishing Area and Waterway Cleanups. We are seeking community groups, school groups, scouting groups, and others who will partner and participate in this community event.
Directions: This cleanup will be of the area inside Laguna Madre Drive and El Lago Drive. The meeting and registration point will be determined as we move along with preparations.
Volunteer hours: Students are encouraged to bring their school community service forms to the cleanup. We will be glad to sign off for the hours of community service performed.

Details: Please wear appropriate clothing such as hats and sturdy shoes. Cleanup supplies such as nitrile gloves, work gloves, trash bags, onion bags for wet trash and broken glass, sunscreen, insect repellent, and cold water will be provided. Some giveaway items will be given away raffle style at the end of the cleanup.
We are coordinating this event with City Commissioner John Cowen Jr., City Commissioner Nurith Galonsky, and City of Brownsville
departments for assistance with health and safety matters and for refuse collection and disposal. Please come out and volunteer to make a difference.
