What: Jaime Zapata Boat Ramp and Ship Channel Cleanup
 
When: Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
 
Where: Registration will be at the Jaime Zapata Boat Ramp
 
Who: The cleanup is organized by RGV Fishing Area and Waterway Cleanups.
 
Volunteer hours: Students are encouraged to bring their school community service forms to the cleanup. We will be glad to sign off for the hours of community service performed.

Details: Please wear appropriate clothing such as hats and sturdy shoes. Cleanup supplies such as nitrile gloves, work gloves, trash bags, onion bags for wet trash and broken glass, sunscreen, insect repellent, and cold water will be provided. Some giveaway items will be given away raffle style at the end of the cleanup.
 
We have coordinated this event with the Cameron County Precinct 1 Commissioner Sofia Benavides' office for their support and to arrange for trash and refuse disposal. Please come out and volunteer to make a difference.
