Description

The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights protects and advocates the rights and best interests of immigrant children within the immigration system. We serve unaccompanied and separated immigrant children who are fleeing persecution, violence, trafficking, abuse, extreme poverty, and other threats to their safety. 

 

We are looking for volunteer Child Advocates. A Child Advocate is an adult who volunteers to spend time with and advocate for an individual unaccompanied immigrant child while he or she is subject to deportation proceedings. 

 

The Young Center will be hosting a two-day in person training event in the RGV on Saturday March 4th and Sunday March 5, 2023 from 9:30am-3pm.
