This is a cleanup of the area around the Jaime J. Zapata Memorial Boat Ramp on Highway 48 between Brownsville and Port Isabel. All cleanup supplies such as gloves, trash bags, trash pickup tools, insect repellant, sunscreen, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Cold water, snacks, and food will be provided for volunteers.
Reflective vests will be available for volunteers. Cameron County Precinct 1 constable cars with flashing lights will be at both ends of the road by the boat ramp for safety purposes.
Giveaway prizes will be given to volunteers raffle style after the cleanup.
